Johnny is sitting at an N/A meeting, and it’s his turn to speak.

He takes a deep breath and musters up all the guster he can to face his truth.

“I’ve been an addict all of my life. I’ve been addicted to everything you can imagine. Alcohol, pot, coke, acid, ecstasy. You name it.

Until one day….I quit cold turkey….”

The meeting leader leaped from his chair in absolute shock.

“COLD TURKEY!?” he asked, befuddled.

“You were supposed to quit the drugs!”

Warm Leftover Thanksgiving Sandwich

Ingredients
-Turkey Bones
-Pulled Turkey
-Cranberry Sauce
-Yams
-Mashed Potato
-French Bread, or Bread of Choice

Method
-So the first step you’ll want to take is to use your turkey bones to make fresh gravy, if you didn’t do this already for Thanksgiving. Pull the bones from your turkey, and cook them on a low simmer for at least one hour.

Once you have a well developed stock, go ahead and strain it off the bones, discarding them. Using butter and flour, make a roux. Melt the butter, add your flour and cook for about one minute. Add your stock and whisk until it has thickened completely. If necessary, add more liquid to thin it out. Adjust your seasoning accordingly.

-The next step is your most important. You need to source your favorite bread. A good bread is the crux to a great sandwich. I’m going with a French Bread.

-Reheat your leftover mash and adjust consistency to be creamy again.

-Mix a bit of cranberry sauce and yams together to create a sweet spread.

-Lightly toast your bread. On one half, spread the mashed potato. On the other half, spread your cranberry yams.

-In a microwave, bring up your turkey. When its warmed, season with salt and pepper. Add water to reapply moisture. Lay the turkey over the bread.

-Finally, pour the gravy over the turkey and close your sandwich. Cut in half, eat it and take a nap.
