This a story of great love. With great love often comes great loss, and this story is no different.

The story begins in the sparks of love between two Paper Wasps from neighboring nests. Roman and Julie. Their love was, of course, forbidden. Their families, constantly at war, competing for each others territories and recourses.

Every night they would sneak out to their meeting spot, and fly around. See the world together. They were buzzing for each other.

Finally, when they were old enough, they decided together to leave their respective nests and start over on their own. All they needed was each other. They searched for days, and finally they found the perfect place.

Above the back door of a beautiful yard. Over looking a canal, and with a beautiful tree to boot. So the hard work began. For days, they foraged for papers to build their nest.

Finally, it was time to start a family. Julie had become Roman’s queen. They consummated their love, and shortly after Julia laid eggs. Many eggs.

Roman had everything he ever wanted. A life with his queen, and he was a father to be.

Until one day, a giant man, who lived inside the house came outside with a broom and swatted their nest down. They tried to save the children, but it was too late. Roman and Julie’s kids were gone. Julie couldn’t remain in the relationship, and she left him.

Roman lost everything. At first, he was terribly sad. Then the sadness turned to anger.

So Roman watched the giant man through the window. He watched for days. He studied the man’s schedule. Took note of the days when he played with his son and daughter in the yard. Until one day, it was the right time to get his revenge.

As the man was laughing and tossing the ball with his children, Roman flew up to the man and stung the back of his neck.

The man came to a slow realization of what had occurred. His throat began to swell. His breathing became more difficult. He reached into his pocket frantically searching for a epi pen, but there was none. He fell to his knees.

“Daddy, no!”, yelled his daughter.

“Mommy, Mommy please help! Something’s wrong with Daddy!” cried his son.

But Mommy couldn’t hear them.

Before the man gasped for his last breath of air, his final act was an emphatic.

*SMACK*

He crushed Roman, and collapsed to the ground, and they both died together.

The end.
