I am drowning
Somebody help me
I am too weak to swim for shore
Going under
I am breathless
Come now, I am losing this war
The storm is raging
The waves are crashing
The tides are tossing me around
The water’s rising…
… and my heart is sinking
Oh, I’m not making a sound
On a teal sky, the sun sets down
Or maybe I just have gas.
- Instructions:
- 1. Ice Cream Base Preparation:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into four separate containers, roughly 1 quart each.
- 2. Flavoring and Coloring:
- In the first container, add orange food coloring and orange extract or zest to taste. Mix until you achieve the desired orange color and flavor.
- In the second container, add red food coloring and strawberry extract or pureed strawberries to taste. Mix until you achieve the desired red color and strawberry flavor.
- In the third container, add blue food coloring and blueberry extract or blueberry puree to taste. Mix until you achieve the desired blue color and blueberry flavor.
- In the fourth container, add green food coloring and kiwi extract or kiwi puree to taste. Mix until you achieve the desired green color and kiwi flavor.
- 3. Layering the Ice Cream:
- Take a 1-gallon bucket or container and begin by pouring one flavor (e.g., orange) into the bottom of the bucket, covering the entire bottom evenly.
- Carefully pour the next flavor (e.g., red) into the center of the orange layer. The orange layer should still be visible around the edges.
- Repeat this process with the remaining two flavors, pouring each into the center of the previous layer.
- Continue layering until all four flavors are stacked on top of each other, creating a colorful “aurora” effect.
- 4. Freezing:
- Once all layers are added, cover the bucket tightly with a lid or plastic wrap.
- Place the bucket in the freezer and allow the ice cream to freeze completely, preferably overnight or for at least 6-8 hours.
